SASHA Upcoming Events Cancelled Until Further Notice

A letter to our good friends and supporters,

We at SASHA Farm (both animals AND humans) have been looking forward to seeing you at our 2020 events. The animal residents have been preparing for spring in order to renew their friendships with you. We were all counting on spring and meeting up with you again to help brighten our days.

Unfortunately, we are deeply disappointed to let you know that we are cancelling our 2020 events until further notice. This includes the public tours which were to start in April, the spring event on May 9th, and all events thereafter until the risk associated with the coronavirus has passed. We value the health and safety of our volunteers, our staff, and each and every one of you, our supporters. We will continue posting live videos, pictures, blogs, and opportunities for comments on our Facebook and Instagram pages, and on our website. Our animals will take to social media with you like never before!!

If you are a current sponsor at a Barn Buddy level or above, part of your sponsorship package includes a private tour. However, we are recommending that even those tours be put on hold until we can be certain there is little or no risk to any staff or visitor.

Hay Drive for SASHA Farm Animal Residents

Winter is upon us and we NEED HAY!  This year SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary went above and beyond for not one, not two, but ELEVEN cows in need.  With the addition of these beautiful souls (revered as reborn human beings in Buddhist cultures) that brings our total number of rescued cows to 34!  While we never know how many animals will need our help each year, this year was a big one.

Did you know one cow eats up to 27 pounds of hay per day?  That’s over 800 pounds a month – for one cow!

With the price of hay this year higher than usual, and the addition of all our new residents, we really need your help in covering hay costs for the winter.  Your contribution to our hay drive will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500.  Any and every amount helps.  Thank you for your support, and for helping all the SASHA residents to have a great holiday season.
