Events and Tours

NO SASHA Farm EVENTS SCHEDULED YET FOR 2021

A letter to our good friends and supporters,

We at SASHA Farm (both animals AND humans) have been looking forward to seeing you at our events. 2020 was a very tough year for all of us, and most of us are feeling relief that 2021 is here!

HOWEVER, WE HAVE NOT YET SCHEDULED ANY EVENTS FOR 2021 as we are continuing to take a wait and see attitude. If we do schedule tours and/or events, the dates and details will most certainly be posted on Facebook, Instagram, and our website. We value the health and safety of our volunteers, our staff, and each and every one of you, our supporters. We will continue posting live videos, pictures, blogs, and opportunities for comments on our Facebook and Instagram pages, and on our website. We will continue to offer sponsorships and merchandise. And our animals will continue to take to social media with you like never before!!

If you are a current sponsor at a Barn Buddy level or above, part of your sponsorship package includes a private tour. However, those tours are still on hold until further notice.

Questions? Check out our website, Facebook page, or Instagram page for updates on our event schedule.  If you are a sponsor and have questions, please email sponsorships@sashafarm.org. For event questions, please email bob@sashafarm.org, and for general questions, info@sashafarm.org.

We value each of you and your support, and hope that we can continue to work together until we are reasonably confident that we can keep our visitors, staff, and volunteers safe at any public events.

With our deepest gratitude for your support and understanding,

Dorothy Davies, Director, on behalf of the SASHA Family

WHEN CAN I COME TO SASHA FARM? Many of you ask when you can visit SASHA Farm and meet the animals. And we understand how important it is to make that connection!! For the most part, we do not offer tours or events during the winter months due to the variability of the Michigan winters, as we want our visitors and supporters to stay safe at all times. In addition, because of the time it takes our staff and volunteers to care for the 200 animal residents and the grounds, we are unable to offer drop-in tours.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL EVENTS AND TOURS ARE STILL ON HOLD IN 2021 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

SASHA Farm Policy for Photographers/Artists

Visitors to SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary love to take pictures of the beautiful animals who live here, our green, rolling pastures, and our idyllic red barns. While we encourage visitors to take pictures for their own personal enjoyment, we do ask that professional photographers, videographers, and artists working in other visual mediums understand and agree to follow our photo policy.

Photographers and other artists interested in visiting the sanctuary should understand and agree to the following points:

  • The artist’s work must support the sanctuary’s mission and include details of the sanctuary, our work and our mission, including a link to our website, in any literature or text accompanying their pieces.
  • At SASHA, we care for animals, including those previously destined for slaughter, without regard for personal benefit or enrichment. To this end, we ask that photographers and other artists seeking to sell their work donate a pre-determined amount to the sanctuary to help us care for the animals. We also encourage artists to donate an item(s) to our annual banquet auction.
  • When possible, copies of photographs or other work will be given to the sanctuary for unlimited use with credit given to the artist, when requested.
  • Before photographers and other artists may begin their work at the sanctuary, they must discuss their intentions with the sanctuary director and complete a contract. Please note that SASHA has a small staff and may not be able to accommodate all requests for tours or visits.

If you’re a professional photographer or visual artist interested in visiting the sanctuary, please contact us at info@sashafarm.org.
